A close fitting shrug designed to show off the beauty of two of my favorite symbols of nature, the gingko leaf and dragongfly.
A rectangle is knitted in a solid color yarn with a contrasting variegated yarn providing depth and texture to the nature motifs. Stitches are picked up and knit in ribbing for the “sleeves” and “edging”. Finishing is minimal, only two very short seams are sewn and ends woven in. Some experience with color knitting and picking up stitches is helpful, but an explanation of how to pick up stitches is in the stitch glossary. This is the perfect weekend project or last minute gift project. Good for the advanced beginner to intermediate knitter.
